MEET THE OWNER + ESTHETICIAN
Hi there! I'm Sophia, licensed esthetician, certified acne specialist, and business owner. I grew up with acne and was bullied for it, but if I tried to cover it up, I was wearing "too much makeup," which pushed me to go to esthetician school in 2018. At school, I became passionate about skin, specifically acne. I started my esthetics journey working at a day spa, then a medical spa, before moving on and opening my business in 2021.
Later that year I became a certified Acne Specialist and started helping many people clear their stubborn acne. It has been so special to me to watch my client's confidence in themselves grow throughout our time together.
In 2022, I launched SartiSkincare, a corrective, hydrating, and acne-safe skincare line. Frustrated by the prevalent issue of excessively drying and over-exfoliating acne products, I created a solution. SartiSkincare breaks the mold by providing effective high-quality skincare that clears acne without compromising hydration—a win-win for clear, healthy skin.

Hi! I'm Korissa Shade, a licensed esthetician at The Face Place Acne + Esthetics in Walled Lake, MI. Specializing in results-driven yet relaxing facials and acne care/clearing, I’m here to help my clients achieve healthy, clear, radiant skin they can love!
Upon graduating esthetician school with academic honors and working in the field, I decided to specialize in acne at the Face Place. I also I hold certifications in chemical peels, dermaplaning, and emergency medicine. My approach blends science-backed treatments with holistic principles—because truly healthy skin starts from within and thrives with whole-body wellness.
I’m passionate about building genuine connections and partnering with clients through the ups and downs of their unique skincare journey. I look forward to creating personalized plans that deliver real results and help you fall in love with your skin. I can't wait to meet you!

POLICIES
48 hour cancellation and no shows
We require a working card on file in order to book with us. You will not be charged when booking an appointment and we cannot view your card information. This card is kept on file per our cancellation policy and will only ever be charged if you cancel within 48 hours of your appointment or "no show" your appointment. Cancellations without a 24 hour notice or "no shows" will be charged 50% of the service booked. If the card on file does not work and your fee is not paid, you will not be able to book with us until the fee is paid.

Sick Policy
We ask that you do not come in when you are sick or having extreme allergies , this includes any coughing, excessive sneezing, colds, sinus infections, persistent headaches, nausea, flus, COVID-19, etc. We work too close to faces all day to risk this and pride ourselves on maintaining a extremely clean and sanitary environment for all our clients. Also, getting facials done when ill can intensify your symptoms due to manipulation of the sinuses and lymphatic system. If you're canceling within 24 hours due to being sick you will not be charged a cancellation fee. If you're cancelling due to COVID-19 you will need to wait 10 days before coming in

Late Policy
If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment we reserve the right to cancel your appointment and charge the card on file 50% of the service booked. If you're going to be late please let us know ASAP and if you're going to be more than 15 minutes late let us know ASAP so we can cancel the appointment.
